CROSSROADS

21 January 2009

I am at a crossroads. I usually paint over my white walls (being a step-child to a spec-house contractor, I just have to revolt), but I don't know if I can get myself to paint these adorable white cinderblock walls. So, I think I may draw some inspiration from Robert Mills Architects' office (Grattan Street): white walls, some wood contrasts, and then bursts of color. I would love to work in that environment. What do you think? Totally not in a rad loft space, don't have those sexy dark wood floors, but I do have good natural light and a blank palette.

I'll keep you posted.

I feel you pain from the past. Once I painted our bathroom a cattail color and my husband said it was my rebellion from growing up with white walls. One word for making the white work without compromise: Original artwork that moves your soul. Have fun! I know you will ;)
