Once we settled on our crib, we began thinking about area rugs in the nursery. As I mentioned before, we are in discussions with the landlord to replace our wall-to-wall carpeting for hard-surface flooring. Regardless of the outcome, we knew we’d need a nice, soft, open place for tummy and play time with the baby. While a shag rug would be soft, I wasn’t sure it was the right fit for a baby and definitely would be a challenge with our dog Hazel. I, also, knew we weren’t in a place to invest $1,000+ on a rug. That is when a dear friend mentioned Lulu & Georgia. These are some of my favorites we considered… and we surprised ourselves—diverting from our all black-and-white color palette to kick it up a notch with the inca rug in buttery saffron yellow. I cannot wait for you to see it; I love it even more in person!
