Brooklyn-based collaborative wood shop Bellboy designs beautifully-simple, handmade furniture and accessories. The Harrison cabinet in black walnut is just so handsome; my apartment is calling out for one in the dining area. I also appreciate that Bellboy tries to utilize domestic timbers when possible, which echos their attentive and mindful approach.

I’ll take one (or four), please. The Blu Dot’s hot mesh indoor/outdoor chair’s powder-coated, stackable goodness would make lovely outdoor seating or, as Blu Dot states, “café canoodling”. Only trouble would be selecting a color—you know me with black and white, but that mustard screams delightful dining.
Someday I dream of a dining room full of Cherner side and armchairs. In the meantime, I admire others’. Below are a few of my favorite spaces that utilize this iconic mid-century molded plywood seating by Norman Cherner.

Our initial motivation for the road trip was to visit my husband’s family at Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho. While there, we discussed how amazing it would be to build a prefab cabin. I, of course, have now become obsessed with the idea; researching all kinds of prefab companies and dreaming about all the accessories to adorn the interior… and pinning, clearly.
